WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Be well prepared before you start—check the below list to ensure you have everything you need to complete your project.
  • Sewing machine
  • Scissors (or a rotary cutter + mat)
  • Snips
  • Pins
  • iron
  • 'loop turner' or safety pin
  • overlocker (you can get away with not having this one!)
  • Printer and paper

FABRIC NOTES

For this top we recommend a non-stretch woven fabric. Light-medium weight for best results. For example, cotton poplin, cotton drill, linen, cotton voile, gingham, crepe, or silk satin. If you prefer, you can buy some pre-made ribbon or other trim to make the centre front ties (a great option is your fabric too stiff or thick to make self fabric ties easily). Use the below chart to calculate how much fabric you will need.
Please note: This is only a guide, we advise buying a little extra than stated if you are new to cutting. The below is calculated with highly efficient cutting.

YOU WILL ALSO NEED FUSING

50-60cm of fusing*
*We recommend a lightweight woven fusing, either black or white depending on your choice of fabric.
You will need 50-60cm of fusing, depending on your size.
